Purple Vixen in Oceana Harbor I

After being run out of Coffee City in humiliating fashion by Dark Rubber, Purple Vixen and her hench girls looked for another new and hopefully defenseless field of action. The beautiful but sleepy coastal town of Oceana Harbor seemed like just the place. Defended by only an elderly sheriff, it looked like easy pickings! But once again, Purple Vixen failed to account for the fact that even small towns can have their heroines. And in Oceana Harbor, that heroine is Casey Canola!

Purple Vixen had split up her gang in order to scout out criminal opportunities. Three of the hench girls went to the docks and started pushing around an elderly lobsterman, trying to commandeer his boat.

Casey was on her way to the store when she heard the lobsterman cry 'Help!' "That sounds like Mr. Able!" Casey said as she sprang into action, taking her shoes off and starting to head for the docks by big bounds on her super-powered socks.

"GERONIMOOOOO!!" Casey cried out as descending from her final bound, her feet slammed into the head of one of hench girls, KO'ing her instantly. *BIFF* *BAM* *POW* ... and Casey downed the second miscreant. She tied up the first hench girl, "You won't wake up for a while, but I don't want to take any chances!"

While she was tying the second hench girl up, Casey noticed a shadow from something coming up behind her. *GULP* as the kneeling teen feared what was coming. She turned her head around and saw to her surprise another purple-clad hench girl!

But the hench girl, seeing her two comrades put out of action by the tiny but spunky heroine, hesitated to press her attack. "I hope you don't mind waiting your turn," the quick thinking Casey said, "I'm almost done with these two!" Casey's confident retort let whatever courage the hench girl still had out like the air from a popped balloon. The demoralized hench girl turned and ran away from Casey as fast as she could.

Casey let out a sigh of relief. *PHEW* "She had me worried for a second!" But Casey chuckled and turned back to securing the rope on her prisoners. "She won't get too far!" Casey said to no one in particular. "Just a couple bounces on my flying socks and I'll catch her!"

Interesting that all three had been involved in the debacle of 's OC Chiroptera's infiltration and attack on Purple Vixen's lair: [link]

Glad to see they recovered from their beatings at Chiroptera's hands, but they fared just as poorly against young and diminutive Casey as they did against the trained assassin!
